leave the one in the middle that is angled down alone. put your boost source to the top nipple.

well i read this but cant quite understand it im not well with comprehending reading im more of a hands on gotta see it to understand kinda thing but here is what i read
"The small hose you removed from the stock BOV must be connected to the larger nipple on the anodized cap (closest to the adjustment screw.)
(Note: This connects to the intake after the throttle butterfly and will pull vacuum when the throttle is closed)

The smaller nipple on the cast aluminum body of the BOV may be spliced into the turbo outlet pipe or into the line between the turbo and wastgate actuator. Use the T-connector supplied. This connects to pressure even when the other line has vacuum. This will activate the BOV faster by applying pressure under the valve seat.

The smaller nipple may also be left unconnected. The BOV will operate slower and more quietly. I did not test this mode." and i got it from this website http://herpetology.com/dsm/bov.html

Ahh, do what you want, I am on my 4th BOV for fun, thats what it is just fun. Good luck Let me know when you want to buy an HKS that is setup like a stock BOV.

leave the one in the middle that is angled down alone(don't hook anything to it). put your boost source to the top nipple.

Other note, use thread tape on the top adjustment screw so it wont leak.

the type S in my experience is not very evo friendly if ur gonna be doing any boost past 24 ish psi. maybe less. i have seen 2 evos with the type S just leak once they get into the 20's and i am not knocking on this bov cause its one of my favorites, the evo just doesn;t always work out with it.

The bootom nipple is for a boost only source. If you connect this, you don't have to do any single spring mod or anything like that. I used to run a Type-S on my DSM. It worked great and held boost great. It works much better with both nipples correctly hooked up...much faster response and you can have a larger preload to begin with to help with holding higher boost better.

Also, as somone pointed out, use some teflon sealant/tape on the top adjusting screw as this BOV leaks from there. After I sealed mine I pressure tested it to well over 30 psi with no leaks.
