Actually if you lost your FPR regulator at 30psi you lost about 30.9% or rounding up 31 percent of your fuel flow as the pressure increase does not linearly increase fuel pressure. It actually increases it much less than that using the new pressure/old pressure then the square root of that. If your AFR was about 11 (it should be slightly rich for meth because meth needs to run richer than gas) then you went to about 14.3:1 AFR. While dangerous your knock sensor should have saved the day, pulled bunches of timing, and the car should have fell flat on its face. Unless for some unknown reason the car was still pulling like a raped ape, with little timing advance due to the knock sensor doing its job, and not enough fuel to even burn right (you should have gotten some lean misfires).

Just a question did you hit a rev limiter at all the day you were driving it while using the meth? I've seen more than one occasion of fuel cut rev limiters and the meth still spraying causing an overly lean meth only fueling condition. THe result is preignition and a bent rod. Sometimes the rod comes out immediatley. Sometimes a bent rod stays in the motor for a few hours of operation, even a few days then let go in a spetacular way. A surprisingly large majority of rod failures happen when cruising on the highway or making a lazy shift after a day of running the motor hard. Just putting along then WHAM big parts are now little parts.

Motors break but the good news is they make new ones everyday

my rev limiter is ignition based through the aem. there is no fuel cut. I did hit rev limiter in 3rd just before shifting to 4th, so its likely something of the nature could have occured. I have hit a boost cut a few times and have been adjusting the ebc, but its possible being so cold and on a super steep hill it did get back up to high boost and hit the cut again.

its also possible that I did hit the 8100 ignition cut as well, as the stock tach gets really innacurate at anything over 500whp. I've hit ignition cut with the tach saying 7400 before, lol.

Neway when it let go and sprayed oil from one end of the car to the other both bottomside and topside through the hood vent I was at 7500.

Its really wierd damage, with the number two rod broken in half and rod bolts broken, wrist pin stil in the rod and laying in the oil pan, number 3 the piston is unseeable but the rod is and it looks jammed in the cylinder head, with the spark plug smashed.

10" long 3" wide hole that the balancer shaft made on its way to glory. And a sizeable hole in the rear. I'll get pics soon once I get it jerked out.

My obsessive compulsive behavior kicked in, I just went to the garage in this 30-40 degree freezing weather and put zip ties on all the vacuum lines I could get my skinny hands/arms on....

I suggest that everyone else do the same if they have the chance to do so....

OMG sorry to hear that man. I had a similer incident. My motor blew, because it didnt have enought Meth in the tank. The #2 rod bolt broke free and hit the block leaving a 11/2 inch hole in it. Im getting a new AMS 2.3 stroker block to fix it, and im taking off the AMS water injection kit that i had on it. If anybody wants it just Message me.

damn dude, i'm really sorry to hear all that happened from a measly vacuum line. we should all be so lucky that nothing like this has happened to most of us yet and learn from what happened to him and zip tie the shiznit out of our vacuum lines before it has a chance to happen to anymore of us. good luck with the rebuild though dude, i know it's gonne be awesome.

p.s. pics please! i just gotta see all that happened out of it.....
