RMR Inter pipes/Agency BOV

I've been searching the forums and can't find a simple answer.

1. Is the Agency BOV any good for say 25 psi? Will the recirculating of 50% of the air do away with the stalling out and other side effects of vta?

2. what is the difference between the RMR Intercooler pipes and say the Weapon-R and/or the Injen pipes? they seem similar but the RMR's are twice as expensive.

thanks

Weapon R's pipes are crap as I have installed them on a few cars and the ones I did the pipes did not quite line up. Injen's were a little better.

RMR's are OEM quality and fitment as I have them on my car. Big for any RMR product.

Injen is as good as the RMR. I have installed both and they are among the best.

Why do you want to use a VTA setup?

ego I guess, I want my cake and eat it too.

I'm probably going to roll with the tial re-cir valve but if there is a product that is as good as the tial re-cir but is also a lil louder than stock, I'd be all over that.

Well how will your ego do with an absolute pressure system? That is the only good way to run VTA. Otherwise you are just losing HP and it is silly.

Do not run VTA if you are not going to do the necessary mods to make the car run properly. If you really need a BOV for your ego you can always purchase the hi-performace Night Pager NA BlowOff Valve

APS for slightly louder than stock with partial recirc at full boost and ususally full recirc at low boost/normal driving.

So a BOV like the agency or turbosmart, where half the air is going back into the intake still isn't good???????????

No its not. The ECU will be attempting to read the 1/2 air that didn't get recirc. If you really want to hear the BOV just get an open air filter intake but, even with that the ECU recalibrates the settings to run richer, so you will have to adjust for that.

I suggest the OpenECU program with the Taktrix cable and a Jestr Tuning ROM

Yeah, I have the Injen set-up and It works pretty nice. There are a few gripes that I do have though..

1. I have their intercooler and the upper/lower intercooler outlet pipes. Now, their intercooler doesn't have mounts on the lower portion of the intercooler, as it relies on the intercooler pipe to hold the side of it in place.

2. I also have the AMS lower turbo outlet pipe, which doesn't use a factory mount either. The original pipes mont to the car, as well as the intercooler, so everything is rock solid mounted.

With my combination, the bottom of the intercooler wants to swing in towards the bottom of the motor, seeing as though there is nothing really there to hold the intercooler and pipes in a set location.

Maybe it's just my set-up, but I am looking in a couple of months getting rid of my injen intake and upper pipes. Mostly because I built my own mini battery kit and now have the space to run a "lower" upper pipe, and am custom building my own set-up. Not that there is anything wrong with the injen stuff.

I would recommend it. PM me if you have any more questions..
