boost gauge may have crapped out
it is an auto meter with the carbon face, and it just stopped working on me earlier today. i am pretty handy, even though it is a simple install anyway, but not real sure what is up at this point. i didn't install it the previous owner did. the gauge still lights up, so i now the power wire is still connected. under the hood where it splits into a t one of the hoses is not connected to anything. i am thinking it some how blew off or slipped off. either way it is not on anymore. there is one hose that is connected to the boost gauge and it is fine, another that goes to the fuel, and another that is just hanging there. any help would be appreciated. i am going to check tomorrow when i have more daylight.
Find the other end of the hose and plug it back in. You said its still conected to the gauge so the other end is floating around the engine bay somewhere. Follow it from your gauge and you will find it
yea the line is definitely still attached to the gauge and the t. where are the to lines supposed to be going coming off the t. i know the boost gauge is the one going to the t, and then one comes off and goes to the fuel, and where does the other one go? thanks for the help
the minute you said "fuel" should make all the bells and whistles in your head go off! Do not boost the car at all until you figure out your situation. If you have a loose hose that is somehow tee'd into the boost/vacuum reference to the fuel pressure regulator, you could blow your car up very quickly if you boost it at all.
Your boost gauge can be connected to any vacuum line in the engine bay, there is debate on which is better but that's totally up to you which one you decide to tap into to. You said the line on your boost gauge is connected to a tee, where do the other two leads from the tee go? The tee shouldbe splicing into a vacuum line.

goes from the intake port to the fuel pressure regulator.
you should see either a nipple on the fpr(the small round canister at the end of the fuel rail) or off the intake. it shouldn't be too hard to see where it goes.

hey man, the hose to the fuel pressure regulator is still hooked up. it is the other hose coming off of the "t" that is not connected to anything. what are you driving around these days?
the other end goes to one of the ports on the end of the intake manifold if I remember right. it will be at the far end of the manifold.
if you search on boost gauge installs in the how-to forums, you will find it, as that's were I learned to install that one(although it's almost identical to the eclipse install as well)..

Those of you using the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) hose for boost reference should be careful.
Make sure to use zip-tie wraps on all the hose fittings.
If the hose pops off the tee or guage under boost you might toast your engine since the FPR regulates your fuel pressure.
A better place is to tee into a vacuum line on top of the manifold.
