Dave, or anyone with the bullet muffler in the cat position, is it possible with the length of that muffler to have about 5-6" left over between the catback and downpipe? IIRC, the EVO test pipes end up around 18", so if this is a 12" muffler I'm hoping there's room, as long as the pipes on the ends of the muffler aren't too long. TIA.

I'd have to say, your custom setup is the best looking so far, and the fact that it performs just as good as your best setup is just a big plus

Dave -- The setup looks awesome! If this new setup is a lot more quiet, will it lose a few HP compared to your other exhausts? Also, any idea if / how we could still run a catalytic converter? (I live in VA. now but will be moving back to Ca. and they are very stringent about setups.)

I have been thinking about a JDM rear, but have always hated the big fart cans showing....Now I have an option. Dave, you rock! To a great 2007!

Kjewer,

Yes, the muffler fits in where the cat goes with extra room left.

I don't think the new muffler I am having built will effect HP at all.

Is it going to work for the stock US rear bumper, or just JDM if it comes out. I'm looking to order a BR TBE in the next 2-3 weeks so when I get back to the states from my deployment in Feb. it will be waiting on me. This setup sounds awesome if it come out for and works on the stock US rear.

There is no "new" system being released, I am getting a little confused. Our current EVO8/9 exhausts are perfect and are going through no more changes.

The exhaust pictured here I did custom for my car with the JDM rear bumper so it looked "right". This is available now.

The "new" exhaust you guys are talking about, are you referring to the new mufflers we are having built that are larger and go where the cat is? If so I should be getting those in anytime now. I didn't put a rush on having them built as I was in no hurry. Normally I get them in 3-4 weeks on a custom built order so they should be soon.

Yes, I was reffering to the new mufflers and if they will be used for the non JDM setup also. I would definatally be going for that setup if all turns out well.

The new larger muffler will only be used if ordered that way but can be used on any exhaust we build.

There is not going to be a performance gain with the new muffler, just searching for the same performance with less noise.
