Borla Cat-back rattle

Anyone with the Borla catback have a rattle where the exhaust is bumping into the underbody? The installer said they had some trouble "fitting" the exhaust system, something I did not expect from Borla with their stock-like pipe routing and good rep. Most of the time it is fine, but sometimes it gets banging and sounds like a piece of cr@p! This seems to happen most often when stopping at a light or parking the car.

Was it incorrectly installed, or do other Evo owners have this problem also???

Before I go back and yell at the shop guys, I want to know that it can be done better.
Also, this system I got was used but in excellent condition. The only reason I mention that is if the slip fit connections were "stuck" in the wrong position, might that cause the problem? Any suggestions on how to get them unstuck without damaging the pipes??

My RNR Exhaust rattles (bumping into the underbody), yeah it's kind of annoying, but not a huge issue.

my agency power exhaust rattled...

i went to lancershop.com and bought those stiffer hangers, acually after i installed them my exhaust sat much better, apparently the stock hangers made the exhaust sag a lil....kinda pricey but there is no more rattle and the exhaust is very snug and wont wobble

Thanks, heart. If the installer can't readjust it, I'll definitely try those.
By the way, did they increase cabin noise by transmitting more vibration into the chassis?

I bet it's the factory heat shield above the CAT, check if the pipe is hitting/tapping the factory heat shield and resonating throughout the pipe. If so just bend the heat shield back a little to clear the CAT. I'd put money on it. The rattle happens when you go over bumps, or when you tap the exhaust, or just all the time right? Get under there and check it out.

Rich, I hope you're right. That would be an easy fix. I'm afraid it might be the angled portion of the pipe hitting the rear diff, though. It's really tight clearance there. I'll check out both tomorrow after work and post findings.

OK, I finally had time to take the car back to the installer. They repositioned the pipes and NO MORE RATTLE!
