I saw that the FQs use a HKS UICP that allows for the stock airbox and stock battery, but cannot seem to find one for sale??? Have any of you seen these or other brands that allow one to keep the stock intake and battery? Thanks

the one you are referring to is half of an upper pipe. it connects to the throttle body and then to the lower half of the upper pipe... its fairly large, about 3" i think, and is a very very tight fit against the battery. i personally would not suggest it as it really does not give you any performance gains and is just an expensive way to give your engine some dress up.

helix I/C upper

I have my old Helix pipes that I took out that allows you to use stock battery and intake. Like mentioned before its a REAL tight fit with the stock battery...theres no play. If you wanna keep you stock parts in then I would recommend Helix...plus a some other brand which I can't remember off the top of my head...very few fit with stock.

So most of these setup you need to use a mini battery and kit?? They all look good, but sucks about the mini battery part. Don't wanna run that during winters here.

I have Injen and it's pretty good. Stock battery too. My friend fabricated a licp for me and I think it was the one that made the most difference.

What drew you to the conclusion of these being the best?

I have a HPF full IC kit and its great. I don't see what is so complicated or could be improved upon when making IC piping that would make it stand out so much from others. Just choose a kit that utilizes a slim battery kit if you are going to bother doing it at all. Only advantages I could see would be aluminum piping vs steel.

Try Dejon Tool's website if you want to keep the stock battery and airbox.

Here are pics of mine with Dejon Tool 2.75in upper ic with Tial bov and Dejon 4in intake pipe.

Do you have to go with a mini battery with all these UICP's?
