Angry Trouble Going into reverse

Does anybody else have a problem going into reverse. This gets me pissed when im trying to park. i roll up to the parking spot and when i try to go into reverse it wont go in.. i have to go into first then second and then reverese.... please tell me this isnt normal!!!

dont have that issue, what is your idle at?

I had another car that did that, but it was a Ford SVO Mustang, but never with either evo.

it idles at around 900rpm

My evo doesn't do it, but I have a mr and in order to get into reverse I have to move a ring up.

Yes this is normal i have to do the same thing. Unless you get a rebuilt trans you wont have all the TSB's on the trans even though you have a 05 you would think they would get it right but they still use the same parts on all trans since 02 they got around to putting all tsb's in on the 06 becasue people where makeing a big deal about it. Once you update your trans with all the TSB's and extras that TRE and SHEP offers your trans will shift like butter and you wont have this problem.

I know its a pain but its just something your going to have to deal with.

My tranny just started making a grinding noise when going into reverse only, seems like something in the trans is still spinning. It doesn't always do it, just occassionaly. Anyone have any info or TSB's on this for me to research?

My grinds sometimes to when going into reverse. Other days it wont go in just like you said but most of the time its fine

Try putting it into 5th gear first and then reverse.. It always works for me
