Electronic boost controller
Not to contradict your comment but the main difference between the MBC and the EBC is that, the EBC boost would not be altered regardless or temperature of altitude, it would compensate no matter what.
On the other side, with the MBC, the engine will physically produce more power/boost with lower temps and will push the ceramic ball mechanism(if applicable) harder ultimately altering the boost control (taper/fluctuation).
In other words, what you are saying is known performance to be specific to the EBC.

That is the worst part about MBC's...most that I've seen are crappy at holding a steady boost pressure. Whereas a solenoid can rapidly close or open to maintain a constant psi.
Apexi SAFC II
I have the Apex-i SAFC-II installed on my 04 8. I had it installed before I did anything else along with a D-Jetro Apex-i Power FC stand alone unit. The boost is very consistent throughout the power band. I would recommend it for those that are doing more than just an intake and exhaust. For the price and the reliability, I can think of nothing that makes more sense.
okay correct me, but I think the AVC-R has more and better features?? not to mention i can display more information, and i guess with either on unit i do not need a boost gauge?
does anyone have pics of either of these installed in their cars interiors?

You don't need a boost gauge with most EBC offerings. The AVC-R does have a lot of options but consider what you're really using it for. Do you really need gear dependent boost levels? Are you that serious of a racer to require all it's features or do you just want it because it looks cool and has all those features?
There are a lot of other products that cost nearly half as much as the AVC-R and work perfectly.
