Bone stock Evo 8, 24k miles, just threw "the code". Guess its time to play the Dealership game LoL.
Luckily the car is still under warranty. The clear coat is peeling a bit on the wing too so I guess I'll have them look at that too. Wish me luck.

what year is it? im redoing my wing on my 03. have 32k and it wasnt bad yet but started to fade and peel just slightly in the middle.
before you jump to any conclusions. make sure your plugs are ok and you didnt get bad gas. or its somthing silly. use the search button an see all the little things that throw that code.

 

Its a 2004 model. Yeah I'll check out the little things but the car is running normal with no problems. Just the silly code. I always use 93 octane (usually from texaco) and i never use octane boosters or any of that stuff. I'll check the plugs but so far it hasn't affected performance so I'll see if i can take it in to Mitsu tomorrow morning. I'll probably change the plugs anyway since its around time to do it. Funny thing is it threw the code the normal way (5th gear on the highway cruising at light throttle).
As for the wing...any idea if they just respray it or are they gonna try to replace it with one of those plastic ones. If they dont replace it with carbon fiber...I don't want it.
