Afr Question
true, but is this happening because its been tuned and determined safe and optimal ? or is it happening blindly not know what is actually happening? just as a general rule, most tuners would rather see the mix get rich up top than go lean
i am no tuner! but i do check my logs often. my a/f under full boost/load is rock steady mid 11's out to the stratosphere. i take it to 8k often and the mix is steady. buschur tuned
ur optimum AFR on pump gas should be 11.5:1 flat across from full boost till about 6K rpm then begin to run RICH (maybe around 11.0 to 10.5:1) declining as u get closer to redline. ur current setup is a blown motor anyday now unless u get a retune!!!!!!!!!!!!!
on 100-109 octane unleaded, 11.7-12.0 is a good AFR. On C16 leaded & above, 12.0-12.5 AFR works well but u will generate higher heat & EGT temps...
