alright well now it wont start up at all. just keeps turning turning and turning

 

Maybe it is the pump. Do you have an upgraded one?

 

yes i have a walboro.

okay well i went out a little later and it started up. still rough idle though. damn the rain or else i would have been out there redoing all the IC pipes.

crazy idle though. then it wanted to die and i was going to let it die. but it caught itself and revved up to 2.5K rpms and slowly went down to the rough idle.

 

could it be the belt jumped a tooth?

 

i dont think so. the timing belt seems like it was never loose enough to jump. and i checked it earlier today and everything was still where it was supposed to be

 

Have you tried new plugs yet? Or removing and reinstalling the existing plugs? At least check them for excessive carbon deposits..
