any twin disc should help you with not blowing out another clutch.

Do you launch your car very often and what mods do you have?

hah am i the only one that doesnt beat the hell out of my clutch? i've probably launched mine hard 15 times or so, i have 23K and no probs.

my last car was also AWD and had 86K on the stocker w/no slippage

you just need to get used to launching

Haha, I actually went to the dealer where that kid got his car (looking at the new Outlander). The salesman said he's in like every other week with his car for service, and he was roasting the crap out of his clutch just pulling out of the lot after he bought it....

By the way, Evo was my first manual, first awd... 25,000+ miles and still going strong.

I'm at 38k miles on the stocker. All the bolt-ons. Cams. Even a turbo swap. I don't drive the car easy so I can't imagine how hard you HAVE TO drive in order to toast a clutch, any clutch, at 10k miles.

I would go with a Exedy HD twin or a ACT, shoot me a pm if you need a price on one. My stock clutch is my 9 started slipping at 2800, i guess it couldnt handle 400whp, but i still dont think it shouldnt have went that fast.

my clutch started slipping ONLY on launches at 18k
ill never get the chance to blow it because of the winter build but i think if i didnt launch theres no reason it woudlnt last another 10k+

Same kind of subject, I have an IX and my clutch started slipping right around 6,000 miles which is kind of weird because all i've been doing for a long time was highway driving. My mods are a Greddy Ti, 3"DP, 3"TP, EBC, K&N Drop in, Tune....for what I have what is a good clutch for my Evo IX? I don't want to go through a new clutch every 6k miles and I drive very conservativly for the most part. What would most of you guys reccomend for me to purchase? I'd like a little comfort room incase i'd like to add any other kinds of modifications. On my old turbo Si i had a Competition Clutch Stage 4 6 puck and it grabbed real well and I was looking at the competition clutch stage 1 for EVOs...how do those compare? What's the most reliable (note not popular) clutch out there for me to use?
