Question How To Tell???

Well I have a quaife installed on my car, well I hope I do. Today I had my car in the air and in neutral and I spun the front wheels, Now in every other car I have had with a LSD the wheels will rotate the same way and with a open diff they will rotate opposite ways. So mine did not rotate the same way. DID I get ripped?????

thats not really a good test. its a basic test but it will not always tell the truth. Even doing burnouts (such as a rwd car) an open diff will still burn both tires. I think the only "for sure" way to tell is to open the diff and look.

Did you buy the Quaife and have someone install it and you think they ripped you off? Try doing a search on Google about identifying a defferential and it should pop up with some better explanations. I went thru this with my Miata trying to determine if it had an LSD or not.

Hope that helps some.
