EDIT - N/M, saw you got the Helix... put it in. If a shop is telling you it's not worth it then they're full of **** and shouldn't speak of Evo's.
$30? Where? Link?

Its totally worth it, dont let anyone tell you otherwise and if they do they dont have a clue. Its an easy 10whp possibly 15whp. After installing the SSA (ebay) o2 housing my boost now holds 20psi until about 6k rpms then tapers to about 16psi by redline. Before the o2 housing my boost would immediately began to taper after hitting peak pressure. And no I dont have an MBC. You can feel the difference in the upper rpms for sure. Best $70 I ever spent.

Interesting, I have been holding off on mods for a long time now, but I may pick up an 02 housing now thanks to all the positive comments made on it. I am just curious if I added this piece to my list of mods (tbe, mbc, fuel pump, licp and custom flash), would it require a retune on my part or will I be fine?

For optimal results a retune is a smart idea. However, I dont think the o2 housing would negatively affect your car w/o a tune. Just get some cams, fmic, and o2 housing THEN get the retune to make it more worthwhile.

One of my boy's found it... I'll ask him for the link. I can't remember which one he got, but I believe it was an SSA.

I paid $300 for my 02 housing installation!!!!! ridiculous!!!

But the hp and torque gains feel significant. at least 15 whp, maybe more!

Oh yeah btw, when I got my Helix o2 installed the boost was spiking, so the fuel would cut off in 4th & 5th gear but I guess that happends to a lot of people with no cats. After the dynotune....Its so beastly, flawless and reliable!

As posted by 3vlution. Is there really an o2 housing for $30? If not where can you buy an ebay 02 housing?

DOes anyone think a stock ported O2 housing would make as much tq. as an aftermarket one like the housings that have been mentioned in this post?

I have an evo IX with the Tomei O2 and Downpipe (they work as a set).... I was able to put down 324hp/324tq after a tune on a Mustange Dyno. The Tomei Pieces are huge, spool up is crazy. If you want a ride let me know, I am in MD. I am selling them soon also as i am upgrading to a new turbo.

Good post and feedback...I'm sold on getting an O2 housing.

So is there any quality difference with the ebay and helix housings?

There's an obvious big difference with the price but that's all I see...
