tuning for 110 oct?? lean it, more timing?

right now i have a jestr 93 octane map and i plan on going to the track tomorrow

i usually just toss in some 110 and turn up the boost to 27/28 pounds.

i finally have a wideband but im not sure how the car actually reacts to race gas on high boost

how do people make more power on race gas? just from turning up the boost?

or do i add a count or 2 of timing. lean the fuel, add more fuel?

I WANNA GO FASSSST!!!!

I MISS YOU MAMA SPEED!

cheers!

I do it the risky way....just add timing and lean it out and make a pull while either myself or a friend is looking for knock on the laptop. I bought a 100 octane e-flash from TTP which made a difference on the butt dyno have not been to the track, but the ever so trusty G-tech (a friends and yes I'm joking about ever so trusty) has the car trapping a extra 2-3mph over the 93 octane map.

i figured i'll drop all the fuel .2 or .3 and add a count of timing

on 93 my a/f is 11.1-11.3

In the load cells that count (the ones you hit while drag racing) take out .3 of fuel (so technically increase the number .3, since were talking about ecuflash) and add 3 degrees of timing. You'll be fine.

I usually lean out to around 12:1, and add a good bit of timing. I run 117 octane leaded, and I find that that **** doesn't like to burn or something. I have to add a good bit of timing. Race gas doesn't knock easily, so you can typically keep increasing timing until you reach the point of deminishing return.

So does 3* more timing sound like alot on 110(from a 93map) ?

That would be on the conservative side, but certainly not an unreasonable starting point. IMO, YMMV, etc, of course.

4 wheel - i dont mean to keep asking questions in your thread . But i also run 110 at the track (i get it for $4.50 a gal) and ive been wanting some info on this as well . Iam starting to change over from the flash/AFC to just using ecuflash

kjewer1 - Wow that seem like alot , isnt 1* of timing about -/+ 10hp ?
and since iam hijacking 4 wheel thread so nicely how much more hp could one look at when using a afc set at -7% (my 118mph run) VS +3* of timing and -.2 on the fuel on ecuflash....20hp??
