Mail in flashes

I was wondering if anyone's ever done a comparison of the mail in flashes available? Probably kinda random, but that would be very interesting. All of them claim varying degrees of success, is there that much of a difference? My local tuning shop said that they could run a tune for my car but they expected no gains on my completely stock IX MR so I'm really looking into the mail ins.

Thanks

I wouldnt ever go back to that "shop" if I were you. I know of a completly stock evo IX that ran a 12.3 with nothing more than a reflash.

Wow. That's quite a statement about your local shop.

heh

I agree. I wanted to go local but I'm stuck doing mail-in. Anyone suggest the best reflash place? Or know of a comparison?

Al does pretty decent base flashes and his tunes for the buscher staged upgrades are great, scott at TTP performance, and Jestr tuning also offer excellent mail in flash upgrades.

I know a few with Jestr tunes and they are always satisfied. Same goes for TTP, I dont personally know anyone with al's tunes, but he is sucessful, so that must mean something.

Yeah, I went 12.26 with stg1 mods and a Dynoflash mail-in on 93oct, then went 12.000 with race gas...same flash. They work and work well...

Your local "tuning" shop should be kicked in the nuts for that statement.

Two individual kicks with full force - one for each nut.
