s-afc bad???
hey **** YOU!!! I do know much about those piles.. I have two or three a week come in on trade at my work.. I do work at a Mitsu dealer ship by the way ******.. So I am well aware of what an safc and how they work.. I have also dyno tuned mant afc cars. There is no comparison to a flash or AEM standalone..Stock Ecu by the way is limited. VERY!! does kurt brown run stock ecu NO!! 600awhp only goes so fast.. not enough for high 9's ..
Wow, somebody got butt-hurt. Well since you have SOOOOOOO much experience with SRT-4's and you obviously have a great grasp on internet etiquette I'll leave you be. No point in having a war of wits with an unarmed opponent.
You can still use your SAFCII on 20g, lol someone needs to take a chill-pill here, IF you're tired of reading the posts, do not replay, easy as that.
If you use SAFC2 make sure to use wideband and tune it right, if you did its all good.
I had safc2 on my 20g I just decided to get ecuflash because of more options as far tunning.

It's not necessarily bad, it's just limited in what it can do compared to a flash, stand alone or stand alone piggy back. You can tweak AFR but I don't believe there are any controls for changing timing ...
On the other hand Road Race Engineering is successfully using the S-AFC to tune their cars ....

There's nothing wrong with an SAFC. It gets the job done for a mildly modded car. If your going to go big then other more advanced form of engine management is required. If your plans are to stay under 400awhp then SAFC is fine but over 400awhp, I would suggest an engine management with timming control.
A little bit of research is likely to turn up nothing useful. I've been around these forums for a long time and I still have problems trying to find out about specific stuff with the search button. If you do a search on anything, you'll get thousands of hits that you have to sift through to find one or two bits of relevant info. The search button is not all it's cracked up to be. This is why people keep asking redundant questions. It's much easier and more productive to post threads asking specific questions and get specific answers. The only downside is that you gotta be prepared to be flamed and insulted by warrtalon and other guys who don't have patience or empathy.
