Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle
Gear Lube 75W-90 API GL-4 (MTG)

I couldn't copy the link from Amsoil's website but you can find it under their products: www.amsoil.com.

On the site it says:
Recommended for synchronized manual transmissions and transaxles that require 75W-85, 75W-90 or 80W-90 viscosities and any of the following performance specifications: API GL-4 and MT-1, ZF TE-ML 02B, 16A, 17A and 19A, Chrysler MS-9070, MAN 341 ML. Recommended for use in NV 4500 transmissions, and replaces GM part #12346190 and Chrysler part #4874459.

This is probably the closests equivalent I've found for the Super Diaqueen OEM stuff.

Also for the people who's changed the oil in the 6 speed, what size allen socket did you use? TIA

Id put the factory stuff in. I hear from various different people the OEM fluid is actually synthetic for the 6 speed. However, we could all just be speculating.

I will may be try it as transmission fluid but not for transfer case or rear differentials... How many miles do you have on your MR? If it is not near 30K miles, I would just change "TRANSFER CASE" and "REAR DIFF" with Mitsu LSD oil...

Amsoil makes amazing quality products, thats what im currently running in my 5 speed. I dont know if theres a difference in fluids required between the two, but for what its worth, I have never had a problem with any of there products.

I just changed the TC and diff with OEM diaqueen LSD 90SAE oil, I'm at ~8k miles. And I'm looking at changing the tranny. But at $84 for 4 liters, I'd rather buy something like the Amsoil for a bit less. Also Amsoil is fully synthetic. If I go get the OEM stuff its $$$ and there won't be enough for a 2nd change I wish they sold that stuff by quarts

OEM for me, thanks.

I'd consider the AMSOIL stuff only if it meets 's specs. They want GL-5, no?

Read the first post, according to amsoil, it is gl-4 and it meets the required 75w-85 weight

Like I said, OEM for me. Even if the AMSOIL stuff meets the specs, trannies are particular about their juices, and the only guaranteed, no doubt about it, perfect match is the products.

But that's just me. Other folks run other fluids and couldn't be happier. Of course, some regret trying non-OEM fluids, too.
