ACT HDSS, I'm on my second one and haven't had any problems with either of them... NoLimitMotorsports sells them at great prices too. ACT FTW!!

I have the Quartermaster Twin Plate and I love it. My friend's ACT Clutch is not even in the same discussion. Even the Exedy Twin Plate doesn't stand a chance. I would suggest the Quartermaster from www.devotuning.com Check them out.

Check out www.ultrarev.com for the Fidanza gear, they had a great price and the shipping was fast, just some FYI

I am getting my ACT clutch installed right now. Was going to go exedy but 1400 is a bit out of my budget right now.

tilton all the way - rarely do you hear stories like this with tilton, but exedy seems to have this history

Deffially give them a call, there going to wanna take a look at it but they should do something for you if it was installed correctly.Originally Posted by Freddy302
I haven't called them yet, What do they usually end up doing? Do the replace it with a new one? was it just a defective batch?

I wish there was some consensus on this one since I have 50k on my stock clutch and am starting to budget for this one.

There is a consensus. Read all the posts. Most of them are ACT ones and no one has any trouble with them. Originally Posted by burnmacs

I even had an ACT 2600 on my 458whp talon with plenty of track punishment and it just held and held..
Thanks Guys for all your help... I will let you know what happens.. But I have a feeling it won't be that soon..

Problem is, like everything else on the site theres so many conflicting reports...I was digging through tons of old threads and the exedy twin hd was the best of the best for the price range and act's had big lockout problems, now it seems as though the act's are performing flawlessly and the exedys are having some problems.

I will still say the biggest reasons clutches fail is a bad install followed by a bad break in.
How exactly did your clutch "grenade" on normal street driving? Did it just stop engaging, was it starting to slip? I would just like to know the symptoms and how it exactly happened.
