No, the 20g-8 is useless. Also, you can hit 11s with 350whp.

If youre "just under" 400 now, you should be hitting 11s. There are many people who run 11s on the stock turbo without 400whp.

Why is it useless? You are saying that you will gain no power taking your stock turbo and sending it in to FP for the conversion?

I had one of the first 20G-8's when they came out, I wouldn't recommend buying that turbo. It surged badly and spool up was worse than stock. I would look to one of the newer 20G's based off the IX turbo.

You're just getting confused. A 20g-8 is still an VIII with a 20g wheel. It sucks.

A 20g-9 is a IX turbo with a 20g wheel and is better than your stock VIII turbo ONLY IF IT'S a 5-blade. If it's a 6-blade, then it still sucks. They can't convert your VIII into IX, because it's not a IX turbo. They may take your 10.5 hotside if you have an 05, but if you have a stock 03-04 VIII turbo with the old 9.5 hotside, I'm not sure what they can do, because they have to change just about everything.

joeMama: Don't assume that all 20Gīs are created equal, because they arenīt. The lastest and best version is the Forced Performance EvoGreen turbo. a.k.a., the Buschur Racing 20G-LT. Donīt accept any substitutes!
