there is no safe psi, there are more variables, like what turbo, timing afr's etc...

well he says stock evo 9 motor, so that would be assuming everything is stock, in that case race gas is useless to you..

21 psi on stock turbo with a stock block is not the same as 21 psi on GT35R turbo on stock block.

On the stock/stock like turbo with headstuds it would still be safe around 28psi or so (as long as your AFR's are good and there is no knock!), with anything larger of a turbo, i wouldn't take it past 25-26psi. Although not a huge risk, there are a lot of people out there running 30 psi or so on the stock block with large turbos but most of them know there is still a risk they are taking. There is always going to be a greater chance of engine failure when running so much power on the stock internals.

For what it's worth, Al tuned my car to run at 20.5 psi. I don't have a MBC - just a custom tune. And I run 91 octane here in Cali. He assured me that this is a safe level, and I believe him. But I'd be nervous with anything higher.

here is something to think about. Just turn up the boost until your motor blows, then you know how much boost you motor can take.
