Where would the best place to install teh sender units for a oil and fuel pressure gauge on the Evo 8?? the gauges are both electrical autometer gauges. I am assuming the stock oil pressure sender for the oil press. gauge and the fuel filter for the fuel pressure gauge. the only problem is I can't find them, sounds dumb huh
i ordered the shop manual from mitsu but, i am still waiting for it. hopefully someone can help.
thanks

For fuel pressure Pruven has an adapter for the sender or a guage on the rail: Pruven Performance
Only wish they would take the damn sound off all their pages, its annoying as snot.

what about the oil pressure? is there an adapter to install a sender unit or should i find the stock oil pressure sender and tap into that to install the sender?

You're contradicting yourself. You're asking me why i need an oil pressure gauge, when I could simply rely on the stock oil temp press. gauge!! To have an acurate reading of the oil press. entering the motor and turbo, an oil press. gauge is a must to monitor the oil press. in case of an unlikely drop in oil press. as it is the life bread of the turbo!! If you abided by your own philosophy, why are you using a water temp. gauge when you could just rely on the stock water temp. gauge.
warning: to keep the cars running and looking beautiful one must monitor the lifeline of the motor

First of all, there is no stock oil temperature gauge. Second an oil pressure gauge is extremely important giving you an indication of how much oil is circulating in your engine. There isn't a stock pressure gauge, but there is a stock coolant gauge. The Evo doesn't have a boost gauge or an oil pressure gauge, 2 gauges that a stock eclipse had. So it would make sense to buy them for the Evo.

Actually there is a stock oil pressure gauge in the rear of the motor under the intake manifold. Every engine has a oil pressure sender that sends info to the ECU in the event of a sudden lose of oil pressure. Unfortunately, the Evo does not have a specific gauge for the oil pressure, unlike some other cars.
i have a b&m fuel pressure gauge that i also cant find where or how to install...i drive an oz rally tho..(universal gauge that comes with the 90 degree fitting)..ive been stumped on this myself...im wondering if pruven performance adapter would work for me??

The Pruven piece may work, however, you could simply cut the fuel feed line and install either a brass or stainless T fitting. It actually would be a double ended barb fitting that you can screw the 1/8 NPT fuel pressure gauge into. The only problem would be the weight on the line. You would have to either wire tie it to something or extend the feed lines and mount the fittings and gauge on something solid.
Has anyone else tried installing a T fitting on the fuel line rather than buying an $80 adapter? As long as the fitting has a large enough internal diameter, then I would assume it would not decrease flow in any way. I would just like to see if anyone else has done this before I go outside and start chopping into the line.
