Boost problem after a couple of runs at the track

MY car has 15k miles. it is an 06 mr. the car is stock. the only mods is a full tbe.
Before the track, i was planning to install my mbc. took of the stock intake piping, but was runing late so, but didnt have time so i didnt install the mbc.

i ran a few runs yesterday at the track. i got a good 8-10 runs. on my 11th run, boost was hitting fine, tapering like it use to from 20-17psi. all of a sudden i hear a pop, followed by a loud hiss. boost drops to about 10psi give or take a few. i shift to 5th boost jumped to 15psi and would not hold. the boost needle can be describe as fluttering/jumpy. i ended up running slower that run. one complete second slower.

i did another run right after. same thing. this was probably in 3rd/4th gear, at somewhat high rpms. i ended up going home after this. although, driving home on the freeway i did a 3rd gear pull from 3k rpms all the way to 6.5k boost holds fine at about 20psi. There was no surge or fluttering boost.

when i was driving on the streets, i did an agressive run, from 1st gear to 3rd gear, n i noticed that i had the fluttering again. boost droped about 10-15psi under hard load and acceleration.

anyone know whats going on?

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

i didnt have time yesterday to do a boost leak test.
what are the symptoms of a faulty bov?

im getting that same sound at 26-28 psi... so im on the hunt for a new bov.

go to the dealer, take them for a ride, theyll give you a new one without a problem.. the exhaust has absolute no affect on the turbo system.

cheers!

i will check this, my brother has an evo also, hopefully he'll let me switch his out. Any reason why or how it would be faulty? is there any way to test the bov? n what will i look for when testing it?

Definetely a leak somewhere. Since you say it was ok for a while then lost boost again would suggest a loose connection somewhere.
