Ok , I am guesing this is your first manual car with some tech in it. Because that is a Built-in feature and its on a lot of standard trans cars. What its for is to prevent the RPMs from falling fast and causing the need to rev match to prevent harsh shifts. So if you Bring the RPMS up high and you just bring it out of gear and coast or slow to a stop the car is keeping rpms up in the case that you may put it back in gear. This way it won't jerk around a lot, you are supposed to downshift or keep the car in a gear at all times. These cars werren't realy designed with coasting in nuetral in mind. Alos keeping in gear and downshifting when slowing saves your brake pads ALOT of wear, And I always hear I don't want to downShift it Destroys your motor, well yes if you take it out of 5th gear a 60mph and just pop it into 2nd, and even then I bet the 4g63 would survive. So downshift away.

Wrong, the ecu keeps the rev's up so you don't go super lean after a wot pull, it's designed to keep the af/r's as close to stoichiometric (14.7 af/r) as possable to reduce emissions.

Is that so, but explain to me how it would go lean in the first place. Becuase my previous car Didn't do that. It was a Turbo SW20. So you say when you let off the throttle the motor will lean out?

Yes, when you let off the throttle, your engine becomes a big air pump which would show as a lean condition on any O2 sensor. But, that doesn't matter since you are no longer putting the motor under load. The throttle hang is for shifting, not to keep fuel flowing for emissions.
