If you send them a IX turbo the cost is $900 to convert it to a true 20gLT.

To have the hotside ported is an additional $45.

If you want them to send you the turbo before you send the core back (what I'm doing since it's my daily driver and can't afford to be down for a couple of weeks...) it's $1200 and you receive a $300 credit once you return your good core.

Hope that helps. Call Robert at FP. Great guy who takes the time to answer your questions.

Tony,
So this only applies to EVOIX turbos to upgrade? I thought they would do an 8 turbo also. Although I can understand why they wouldn't because the E8 is different than the E9 turbo.

Talking

I will call them tomorrow and talk to them about this core option. My car is also a daily driver and can not afford to loose a couple of weeks.

If it is, I will definately go for it this upcomming month after installing the FMIC and injectors.

Good stuff!

Here is the pictures I was talking about.

If you can see there is very rough casting still leftover on the hotside from the factory and the machining done only enough to accept the larger green wheel. After cleaning it up there is no bump and a very smooth flow path exiting the hotside. This porting was done at PPi, and we can offer it for your green/LT setup also!

Yes there would be gains to match the gasket and smooth out the exit to cleanup casting on the stock housing. For the best gains we recommend that you port the manifold to match the gasket between the hotside/manifold. Feel free to check out our website for more detailed pictures and info. If you have anymore questions please let me know!
