Valve Cover Oil Leak

I have noticed that since I installed my cusco oil catch can, I am getting a leak from my valve cover. I found a small brass lined hole in the back of the valve cover just under the PCV and it seems to be the source of the leak..... its not steady its just alittle messy. Anybody else encounter this problem?

Your PCV system still fully functional with the catch can?

ya that hole also leaks on mine, what the heck is this hole. I heard people say if oil is coming out of it that the valve gaskets are leaking. Anyone know for a fact what the heck this hole is for?

That little hole goes through the valve cover to just under the spark plug cover. It drains any liquid that happens to get under there. If you pull the spark plug cover off you will see the other end of the hole.

For that small hole, it would be if you spill some when you are filling your oil. There isn't really any other way for oil to get in there. You could also get water in there when it rains and it would drain out that hole.

It's a straight through tube. You have to put something in one end to get it back out the other. If you pull the spark plug cover off you'll see the opening at the other end. It goes in that end and out the end you're talking about.

It's probably time to change your plug gaskets and your valve cover gasket.
