I have seen alot of people use a meth kit on the IX turbo. What about the stock 8 turbo, with cams? Is anyone getting about 375whp or so on meth?.
I am trying to decide if I should go with a meth kit, or the evogreen turbo..

 

You don't just see people doing it on IXs or people with IX turbos. We've been doing it on VIIIs since way before the IX came out. Lots and lots of people have seen well over 375whp with cams and meth on VIIIs. All you have to do is spend some time searching - this is basic, old news.

You should do a meth kit AND the 20g-LT (EvoGreen).

Yea both would be sweet, but one or the other. I have used a aquamist system on another car I had and it worked good.
Now I keep reading that it is not the most reliable way to go, but way cheaper.

I know my car had a 9.8 hotside stock, but is there a way I can tell by the outside of the housing if the car had a 10.5 put on it. Is there any stamping #s that is different from the two?

yes. it will have a casting on the housing 10.5 along where the manifold bolts to the turbo itself.

if you look along the numbers on the o2 housing side, you should see 105 instead of 98 signifying it is infact a 10.5 housing. see below...

i made 373/392 with meth and the usual boltons. It was 93 degrees in the dyno room so it pulls really hard right now lol. Dyno done at turbo trix last summer. Want 20glt,injectors,and intercooler to finish the car off.

 

I always wondered what the possiblities of meth on a 03 with just cams. and a 9.8 hotside. Does anyone know what the norm is. Or what the least to expect... Just wondering. But damn 370whp on a 03 with just bolt-ons, man that is BAD!
