Does a IX Transfer case fit on the VIII

Im almost 100% postive it does i just want to make sure before i purchase it.

The only difference would be the acd, but if its a 05 8 case then it would be the same exact thing as a 9 case.

03-04 = same
05-06 = same

can only swap when they are the same, so basically uc ant put n 04 into n 06, or vise versa

You are correct, my bad. A '05 WONT fit in an '03 Evo 8. (No ACD). Sorry to plug up the camode here!

I put a 05 tranfer case with ACD and plugged the ACD holes into my 03 Evo.I works great and not I have an LSD front wheel drive.

A 05 case will work in a 03, but the acd wont work.

The clutch plates to the acd are not getting fluid. The plates are wearing out on every turn. Congradulations for ruining and acd case.
