Exhaust problem

Hi all!

I own a EVO IX and my first upgrade was a turbo back exhaust with apexi muffler, downpipe and catdelete pipe. After i installed all this, i've noticed a big difference in how the car was working. The sound was ok in first 3k RPM, after the turbo was coming into game the sound was awesome and the car was pulling harder than stock. After a few km the engine warning lighted in the dash. I don't know why, maybe because a sensor.

After this, yesterday i've installede a new manifold, and an o2 housing. I've read that it will give me some extra hp, and i was really courious to see if is true. After i've took the car from the service where i've installed this i was unhappy, the sound has changed, and the feeling when the turbo started, disappeared. I feel that the car is slower...and also is not pulling the same in low revs.

Anybody had the same experience? What can be the problem?

I intend to switch back the stock manifold and o2 housing.

Is the car much slower or just a little? Maybe somehow the car went into limp mode? I'm pretty sure the code is for 02 but you never know, try getting the code pulled.

^What he said. You probably threw the code from your cat delete, you need a CEL fix for that. A tune wouldn't be a bad idea either especially if you plan on switching your intake you'll need a tune after that.

What type of manifold is it. I'm gonna have to go with a flawed maniifold and or an exhaust leak.

What is LIMP mode?

I will put a boost indicator to check the boost value.

I ordered an Apexi Power Air Filter.

I would wait on uninstalling the mani and O2 housing you installed. Pull the code and fix whatever the problem is. Then at the least get a mail in flash...you will def notice a difference and the parts will be working for the motor and not hindering it. If you get an MBC and a fuel pump before the tune that would help significantly with your "butt" dyno

LIMP mode, or Fail Safe mode is your ecu regulating the engine's performance when certain dtc's are set to prevent damage to the engine.

the cel is most likely for the rear 02. When you say a turbo back exhaust, that usually means you put a straight test pipe in place of the cat, and that's what is throwing the cel.

How much slower is it? Could it just be that you had your expectations set too high, and the car really is as fast, but you were just expecting more?

No. I feel the car slowly, for example, in 4th gear, when i was in 2500 rpm and i was pushing the gas pedal to to bottom, at 3500rpm i was feeling like a kick in my butt...but now, is smoother. And this is only after i installed headers and o2 housing.

Where i live there is no Dyno for 4x4 vechicles, and no tuner. Sadly...i can't tune my car.
