E85, EVO Green.................
I have not seen a set of cams come improperly degreed. Not sure that I ever checked either.
Every single part on Trevor's car is from our shop, as a side note.
Your car definetely has something going on with it............what has yet to be determined.

David and Trevor,
Awesome numbers guys!! Looks like it's going to be the battle of the EVO Greens at Winged Warrior this year!! I can't wait till we get a consistent supply of E85 up here in MI.
David,
As similarly modded as Trevor's car and my car are, to what do you attribute the fact that mine spools up 1000 rpms faster but makes 45HP less throughout the powerband? I also have Revolvers, 20G-LT, EMS, ported mani, 02, BR 3" exhaust . . . have you ever seen a set of cams come improperly indexed from the factory?

There is tons of different turbo/motor setups entered, it will be exciting to see who comes up on top.(What setup) I am still waiting for an answer from you Dave, if my setup is good for the green and E85 as well. If so, I will be over to have it put on, and strapped down for a dyno tune. Nice job Trevor!
I already have a set of the BR272's but if I go with a Green I need to find a set of Revolvers. Oh the choices
Congrats Trevor. You're making some good power there. I'll be looking forward to see you hit 10's this year.
Dave, If I was to convert over to run E85 on the 20GLT. Would 880's be more than enough with the walbro fuel bump? I'm currently running meth on the 20GLT with 680's on stock ECU. I'd love to convert if injectors and a retune is all I need. Thanks

You and me both! I have 2.3l sitting at BR right now ready for the car, I am waiting for my new 4.11 geared race trans from TRE. I am stuck between the Green and the new BR35r. I have E85 all over the place in Michigan so that will be my tune.

smoked, I do not thing the Green is the turbo of choice for your car. It will spool fast but I don't think it's going to make the power you are looking for. Is your signature full of every single mod (engine) that you have? Looking at your list I don't think it's complete. Send me a PM again with ALL the mods you have done so we can figure out the best turbo choice for your car.
evil1, with a reflash I am guessing the 880's and single pump will be enough.
4ring, I don't think the green is for you either. With the stroker, your other parts and the big BF272 cams, it is not going to work out very good. You probably need the 3065 for the best combination.

Nice numbers...
Was this "true" E85 though? I know a lot of Ethanol plants dumb it down to 70% Ethanol during the winter, so technically its E70.
Not really sure how much extra power you could get out of the extra 15%, just curious.
Never the less... Good job!

David,
I cannot tell you how impressed I am with your shop and most importantly with your dedication to the cutting edge of tuning. I've seen a lot of posts about E85 and the Evo recently and it puts a smile on my face every time. It seems to me that this new wave of Green (not the turbo) tuning could very well be the future of performance. Who says a high-performance car can't be good for the environment? Now we just need to implement ethanol in more places...

I am applying for a permit to produce ethonal myself..........that's how interested in it I am at this point. I have enough property I think I can probably produce close to 1500-2,000 gallons of fuel a year for myself. I submitted some of the paperwork today via e-mail to get this started. This should be more fuel than I actually use a year in the cars I would use it in.
The question as to what kind of E85 this was is in my first post.

These results are great. Thanks again DB for posting your findings. This turbo/fuel combo is what I am VERY interesting in running as soon as I get the funds for the turbo and supporting mods. Thanks for posting all the great info on both this turbo and fuel. When I got the funds I will be giving you a call Dave!
