Turn down the boost. If that doesn't eliminate the problem, then look elsewhere.

It is, mine did it with an uncrushed 1g BOV.
Mine started when the weather got down to 40 and the air got really dry.
But with the salt on the roads now, I haven't driven it in over a month now

Oh jeez, those things sound like turkey gobbles to begin with. Try a different BOV.

lol, actually I got it recicr'd so it doesnt make that high pitch sound. after reading this thread I went outside earilier and tightend all my clamps and lines connected to the bov, I'll see if that helps and also im gonna see if i can get my friends stock bov that he has off and see if that corrects the problem.

see, im getting a flutter as soon as I go wot and the turbo starts spooling, its weird instead of the high pitch turbo sound, I get a high pitch spool sound that is fluttering really fast, it kind makes me think that something maybe lose and is flapping and the faster i go the faster it flaps. As soon as I can drive my car when this now melts some I'll test it out.

Thats the same thing mine does, It can't be the BOV because it's only during WOT, And like someone said previously, Alot of the time it doesn't do it when I rifle through the gears. It does not happen when I let off, Although sometimes the BOV does flutter, but I have the APS BOV, and from what I understand thats a pretty good valve...

Nice...

I also was wondering... Is it worth the money to get the Evo 8 to Evo 9 Turbo conversion from B/R... Seems pretty affordable and to squeeze out like 20 extra hp without everyone seeing a giant GT series turbo stickin' out...?

mine flutters to when I give the car a bit of gas and then let off right away. Do you have a short ram???? My car has that adaptor you can buy from lancershop that lets you put a filter on the end of it to get rid of the stock box, maybe its just the way the car sounds when spooling at higher speeds with a different cai, I never noticed it at low speeds just on the highway. Like I said I will get my buddies stock bov and try it but I think it might be me just over worried and it suppose to sound like that. I rode in my buddies stock evo and when the turbo spooled it sounded smooth. I dont know, i am gonna just have to wait to see, I dont drive the car in the winter to much so when I get a chance I try a couple things and let you know what happens.

I think you're having a different problem... If it's when you let off, Then it would have to be your BOV... Mine is WHILE I'm WOT Not before or After... I think yours is like what someone said previously about your BOV not lifting completely...Thats what it would sound like to me... But I'm no expert...
