hey guys i just got my evo last saturday i've noticed some type of ticking under the hood, mainly near the firewall. im not sure if this is the injectors or valve. the car it self only has 200miles on it and is a IX. the ticking never goes away and really doesnt matter if its cold or hot. here is a video of it. what do you guys think it is?

mine does the same thing, another evo 8 i drove did the same thing also

 

Normal noise. The lifters and injectors are just loud man. Nothing to worry 'bout. Make sure you break er in the right way. I love my IX MR too.

 

i know that sound and it is just the injectors...its cool man

thanks for the replies guy. i was a little worried, never heard anything like that coming from an engine bay. my previous car was an 03 rsx-s, had 50K on it before i traded in for the IX and the engine was quite as can be.

yea, i started miss the rsx already, i just hope it falls into the right hands. i cant wait to break the IX so i can finally feel that raw power.

My car didnt make that noise that loud at first but i noticed it at like 6000 miles(im at 15 right now).

I havnt had any probs tho. its the injectors tho.

i wonder if the bigger sized ones make even more noise?
