I also have mine connected to the BOV line and get all kinds of annoying partial throttle flutter. Especially in 5th gear. I am going to put the ATP nipple between my LICP and FMIC as a boost source and see if that does the trick.

Do you guys that are tapped into your bov line have problems as well?

I have the infamous flutter problem as well. Thats why I just ordered the ATP simple solution for a boost source for bigger turbo guys, or people without a nipple on the turbo outlet.

Once this piece comes in I am going to shorten the length of my MBC lines and eliminate all of the accumulated T's...

I'll post up my pic when I get to the office. I am also running off a line from my intake mani. I have a nipple I can run a line off of from the bottom of my UICP. Would that be better?

Yes it would be better. I am going to run the same ATP nipple in my licp to fmic coupler as that will be a nice simple solution to the boost source without the PITA of removing my Buschur LICP. It is better to run your MBC from a seperate source than your BOV for reasons I wont get off topic on here. A seperate intake manifold source is better than the BOV line. Also, it is better to run as close to the turbo outlet as possible as the you will eliminate couplings where boost leaks could occur between your boost source and your boost controller. So I think the ATP is a nice quick fix. For you it would be almost as good to run off the uicp nipple. It is before the throttle body and closer downstream to the turbo than your current set up.

But back on topic, what do you think of my custom braket? It looks kinda OEM in real life as you really cant even see it.

If you have the stock lower intercooler pipe then the best place is off the stock nipple right after the turbo outlet. That is the BEST place, period on a stock licp car.

I dont see why it would be unsafe. The car runs 19psi stock to 5500 RPM so it can flow enough. Of course you would get more power out of a less restrictive exhaust but I dont see how you will harm your motor with the back pressure you have now.

Here is my new install location of the hallman MBC..

I am now using the intercooler nipple adapter from atp and much, much shorter vacuum lines than before...I literally saved about 2 1/2 feet of vacuum line and 2 T's

The flutter did go away with the install of this nipple. I cant say 100% as it is only 32 degrees down here right now. Hopefully it will dip back down in the teens and then we will know for sure...

Looks good man. Right by the WG too. I like it. Tell us if your flutter goes away with the new boost source.
