The idea is good, but that looks like ****.

Old style Perrin is what you are looking for; it was my favorite exhaust until Perrin discontinued it for the new style...

Would look a lot better if you mounted it like the edited pic from zlancer.........but right now, I agree it's a little too low.

I chose to position the muffler like that so the pan would show more. IMO it would've made no sense to have the tip up close to the bumper and barely have any of the pan to show...it would've looked how the SP2 fits on the car. It may appear to hang too low but in actuality the piping under the car is about the same as the stock location and it clears the diff case with ease. I appreciate the comments though.

No offense, but I'm with the others who think it's a little too low. Can you just flip the muffler over? That looks like it would take care of it.

I have the Borla and mine is the same style, but it looks like yours would if you would invert it. Nice polish, though!

Im guessing that you requested the tip that low, because Hector does the best custom exhaust work I have ever seen in my life.

What's the point of showing off a shiny muffler "pan" in the first place?

The way you talk about it, I just imagine some low rent vato getting a disposable aluminum baking tray and affixing it behind their bumper.

The fact that you forced it to appear as though it is an ill-fitting muffler is mind boggling.

"Look at me, I has a muffler" is gay, down to it's very core.

I feel the same way about exhausts. That's why I got the Greddy SP2

Looks weird to me but maybe it's because I am not used to it.

I too, came from the 240sx world before the Evo and there is just as much of an abundance/majority of canister mufflers there as in the Evo world, if not far more, so I don't know what makes you think that way. In fact, just about every JDM exhaust for Japanese cars that makes any decent power is a canister style. there is a reason you don't see many race cars with "pan" style mufflers-they usually are not ideal for power/flow/weight. The Greddy SP was/ is a great exhaust but it's just not going to offer the highest gains. Which brings me to the next subject:
Anything in the World Sport lineup is very "mild" and usually offers minimal performance gains. The WS full exhausts are very conservative and mostly for sound and looks over all out performance. Having just a WS muffler put on the stock piping will yield even less results. Did you just want a shiny thing that sounds different than stock? Well as long as your desires are satisfied, but personally I don't see the point. It's either wide open canister TBE or just stay stock for me...
EDIT: I do like the scoobysport and cobb non-canister mufflers on WRXs though, they work and look and sound good.
