Best clutch for under 800$. .
If it was the flywheel it would make the same sound on both acceleration and deceleration. In addition to which the flywheel does not know what gear you're in. Typically you get flywheel noises when you use a lightened flywheel on cars that use a dual mass unit, which are very heavy and dampen the noise. On those applications it happens irregardless of the gear or whether the car is accelerating or decelarating or at idle. The 350Z/G35,and Supra TT use a dual mass flywheel design, the Evo doesn't. What you're describing does not sound like a flywheel problem.
uh oh.....
what do you think it could be? it just started after the clutch/flywheel installation.
I get absolutely no decel noise at any rpm at all. I had that when i used the exedy twin in my 03 8 and was one of the reasons i didnt go with a twin disc clutch this time. As far as the prolight being to light i,ve heard all the storys about it not launching as well as the heavier flywheels, revs dropping to fast, etc. I get zero noise or any issues at all with my set up.ACT MB7- HDSS w/prolight flywheel.
