question on gt30r series turbo.

I have been searching on here for the past two days for results on any1 of the GT30 series turbos. The numbers that i have seen were generally around 400hp. My question is: is it possible for me to get anywhere around 450WHP (safely on a good tune) on 93 octane without meth or alky. (for those of you who say "jet get meth or alky", im not disgarding this option as i will do it in the future). garretts website says that the largest Gt30 will support up to in excess of 500hp.

My mods now:
CompCam 280/280
Aem intake
Helix I/C piping
Buschur FMIC
Ported Stock manifold
Hks Ti-carbon
test pipe
HKS downpipe
megan racing 02 housing
Greddy EBC

Thanks for your input. And im sorry if i am beating a dead horse on this topic. I just wasnt able to find exactly what i was looking for.

um 415-420 is about the highest i have seen with a 3037s/3076r. the FP 3065 is about the same. race gas these will hit 490whp no prob.

Hmm tough one. 450whp on pump alone is pushing it, you could get 450whp with pump and alki or meth with a 3076r. I would look into a 50trim if all you ever going to use is pump.

I hit 405 with 93 and meth on a VERY safe tune. I have a Vishnu Stage 2 (v550)with 3076 and AMS meth. On the dyno I was told there was room for +30 more hp if I wanted to push it. But I wanted to stay safe! So, we stopped when we broke 400 (3 pulls LOL)

I have 264/272 hks cams, stock intake, stock intake monifold, stock ic pipes with samco hoses, stock IC, Stock exhaust manifold - not ported, and Vishnu Xede for boost control and programming.

OK, now to your question... my #'s are on a dynodynamics... which is like 650 hp on a dynojet. Just kidding.

28.5% on the dyno dynamics dynometer and 16% on the dynojet/dynapack dynos are the common "correection factors".

using this... me :
405 dynodynamics = 566 BHP = 475 dynojet
Or something along those lines.
(flame suit on)

for 450 AWHP you would want to be on a dynojet and make 535 BHP. That is not going to happen on 93 with the stock motor.

Period.

My meth made +90 AWHP over 93 without meth. You cannot make that up in a "tune". So, with meth and an agressive tune I could have hit 500 AWHP on a dynojet...

450whp on pump alone is impossible, even a 35r will not do make it....get alky injection

Prove him wrong or go sit in time out....

Because I would be VERY inclined to agree with him. I know the GT30 will not make it. I don't see anything making that on a dynodynamics. I doubt it on a dynojet.

its not going to happen on a stock motor with that turbo and with only 20-22psi.

however you can make 450+hp on 20-22psi with a gt35r and a 2.3 stoker

I have seen a GT35r produce 440whp @ 21psi on 90 octane tuned with AEM, car was stroked though.

Still waiting... 440 is NOT 450. 2.3 is not 2.0....

Someone prove us wrong please.

P.S. It's not going to happen.

ok.. so what would i be looking at with either of these three options:

a) .50trim supporting mods

b) Gt30 series supporting mods

c) what would both be on meth

(stock engine internals)
