comparison of flow rate of turbos, VIII, IX, EVO Green

Does anyone know the flow rate for the factory turbo in the VIII, IX?

Because I am thinking about sending my evo IX to be converted to the FP evo green turbo, I would like to know will there be a significant improvement in flow rate for my IX turbo after it is converted.
And I think comparison of the flow rate may help give me some idea of the potential for improvement.

Thanks

Flow rates are kinda tricky because like with anything else, what they are rated at and what they actually flow are two entirely different things.

The stock turbo flows 39lbs/min and the 20gLT is a proprietary turbo, so I doubt they have disclosed any type of flow testing if any was actually done.

I don't know if it's proprietary, but the Evo green turbo flows 47 lbs/minute. Says so right on the FP website.

Ok then they disclosed the flow testing, so there you have it

stock = 39lb/min
Green = 47lb/min

I would assume the 8 would be less, does the hotside affect the flowrate??

Im almost positive I've seen the stock turbo (forget if its 8 or 9) be logged at 42lbs and the FP Green as much as 49lbs.

Roughly the Evo 8 flows around 550cfm, the Evo 9 turbo flows around 600cfm and according to FP the FPgreen flows 701cfm with a best eficiency between 20-28psi.

I gave the info to Slowcar. I would have to look on my PM and retrieve the info on the FP again.

Ok, this is the info I got from talking to FP(I just retrieve the info from as old e-mail I sent to slowcar after talking to FP):

FPEvogreen
701cfm @between 14-38 psi
20-28psi prefer efficiency range
10.5 hotside is the same
turbine wheel 15-20% larger
Compressor side is about 15-20% bigger
40mm flapper aprox
7cm inlet (same as the Evo 9 turbo)
5 blades
If you are running stock injectors on the Evo 9 you might not need them with this turbo. Forced Performance has a Evo 9 RS with stock injectors and a duty cycle of 90%

I posted my airflow testing of the Green/20gLT. It maxed out at 48.9 lbs/min tapering to 26 psi. The stock 8 turbo maxed out at 43 lbs/min (more typically 42 lbs) tapering to 21 psi. I would expect the 9 turbo to be very close to this, probably the same.

so about 30whp is the gain from the ix turbo to a 20glt? is that the consenus.

im trapping 118 now with the ix turbo, only mph differece? seems kind of disappointing.

im sure it would be great on a track day or just messing around town, but how often do ya floor it daily driving..

no, 360/400 should be trapping at least 116; but sometimes members leave their previous best track times in their signature, even though they have updated their mods - so their listed times are not representative of their current mods.

That is like 6-7 lbs/min difference. So it is probably 40-50 hp more powerfull with almost the same spool. Good enough for me

Ok, this is the info I got from talking to FP(
I wonder where the 20G-9-5 or the white rabbit fits in, since they have the same compressor wheel as the 20G LT?
