MBC boost problem

Ok my friend and I have been tring to figure this out..A friend of ours with an 05 evo and its having boost problems after insatlling a turbonetics mbc. He has it hooked up the same way I have my sx 2 stage, however he will get nothing over 14psi. no it does not spike to 18 and taper to 14, it just stops dead at 14psi. even if we have that sucker cranked to the max or the min...So question being does the 05 require a flash?..As funny as it is to watch this guy go nuts over this it is getting annoying..

did you rerun new vacume lines from the lower intercooler pipe and from the wastegate? if you did not that is most likly your problem. i just did this with a forge boost controller. i reran new lines to the mbc and boost is wutever i want it to be now. gl

The spring rate in the in the BC is 15-25psi..so that can't be it and the kit came with new hoses...this is the second MBC and both have done the same thing.

Something's off, but I don't know what to tell you other than an 05 can run more than 14 lbs boost without a flash. I've got the forge mbc on my 05, and it works well. Maybe double check the lines? Maybe try a different boost source? Good luck.

Sounds like the lines may be backwards. Try switching them. Or they aren't on there.

all IC couplers tight and bov couplers tight and intake. This guy is about to cry espacally after I gave him a ride in my evo @1.5 bar.
