Car boosting slow, loss of power
The fact that you havent thrown any codes yet make me think its the its the turbo/ waste gate. Take the intake off, check the fins on the compressor.
Get the heat shield out of the way. take the O2 housing off. Check the wastegate. Make sure its not stuck/cracked open. Check the fins on the turbine.
If everything checks out ok. Do a compression check. Doubt thats the problem, but its a fast easy thing to check.

So is the only thing left the waste gate and actuator?
IM NOT telling you to do this, but one time i was racing my car and i was down 8mph in the trap. i did notice my boost was bleeding all the way to redline. didnt seem that bad but the loss of mph was.
I didnt have the tools to check for a boost leak...so i got pissed and just pulled the vacuum line off the actuator. (wide open waste gate) Knowing i did this i should of hit like 30psi fast....hit full throttle and i only piked 22psi (not quickly). I had a boost leak.
But if i was in your situation and i did the same thing, and it did spike 30psi, then i would think i hooked the EBC wrong or the solenoid was bad.

Well, I was able to get up early and get the car on the lift at work. I removed the lower heat shield and this is what I found.


Oh well. I'm just gonna replace it with a forge unit once I tap it out.

ewww look at that. Glad u found it. I believe i seen some options in the for sale sections. 9.8, 10.5, actuators.

I guess our assumption turned out to be correct!!Edit: I'll talk to Hugh later, you might be able to salvage the hotside if you're lucky, but I'd suggest ordering a new WGA in the meantime..

Oh well, the car is at AMS getting all this BS fixed. I had em do the head gasket and some cams and gears since I was already there.
