I'm still considering all three (meth, cams, green), but I have a feeling that I will feel more torque with the IX turbo on pump/meth than with the EvoGreen. Feel free to correct me here...

I do a lot of highway driving, and want to be able to stomp on the gas at like 3500rpm in fifth gear and feel like I got hit from behind by a Mack truck... I know that adding meth will likely bring me closest to my goal, but still scared to open that can of worms.
If that is your goal (to feel like you have been hit by a Mack truck in 5th gear at 3500 rpm), you are going to need some serious hp IMHO....I may be wrong, but I would think you would need more like 500+ whp at that RPM / gear to feel the kind of kick you are looking for (kind of like launching in first gear? )....

okay, okay - so maybe I exaggerated a little there with the whole truck thing . But I was more under the impression that a nice torque spike would give me this feeling - as opposed to just more whp, which could be easily achieved with a larger turbo.

The problem with going the larger turbo route is that I would be losing low-end torque. I am not sure how much effect the Green turbo would have on this though...

Cams and meth is defiantly the way to go I would be a little afraid about of meth to but I just dont know to much about it are you planning to add a clutch to your list I hope you don't plan running all of that with a stock clutch I'm sure you would be over 400tq what do you guys think??

I would finish maxing out your stocker before you make the jump, it has so much potential. I would hold off on cams, they just dont seem worth it imo. Get the meth, ported/coated manifold, AMS/Buschur/Nisei FMIC, ARC or Kansei induction box and some 720cc injectors. You'll have quite the street beast.

I don't think he'll need to do injectors with only those bolt ons and meth. Meth actually decreases the load on the injectors.

i have the GSC S1 Cams with all the bolt ons you could think off (no meth)...at 21 psi my tuner told me i am where my power curve satisfies everything...turbo flow,reliability,a/f ratio and stock injector duty cycle. i made 365/365 on a mustang..

a friend of mine has an evo IX with the same exact mods as me...but instead of the GSC S1's he has an HKS272 exhaust cam and a cutom intake cam..at 26 psi he made 398/405 on the same dyno..but his turbo seemed to be running out of breath.when i drove his car...the torque was unbeleivable...his car felt much faster and pulled much stronger than mine.. however i noticed that once i hit 5500+ rpm in his car..the car felt like it hit a brick wall...to put things to the test..we did a 2nd gear pull between my car and his...
and who would have thought..my "brick wall feeling" was correct...by the end of 5th gear..i was more than 4~5 cars ahead...to be honest i didnt expect that...i thought it was a driver error..we tried over and over again with the same outcome..

why i am sharing this story you may ask?
because peak HP/Trq figures dont mean jack krap if the power curve was not smooth and linear...
thus i am planning a turbo swap next...i dont like methanolic ideas...for some reason i remember Nitrous everytime i think Meth/Alch injection...

i think i am going to go FPgreen soon..if i do..i will let you know how it goes...

thanks

Yes, but they'd be very beneficial if he wasnt running meth all the time

This is the order I was originally thinking of... I just wish that there were more results out showing decent gains from the IX cams...
