Next mods for bolt-on Evo IX? cams, meth, or evogreen?
I was hoping some of you could help me decide between the next mods for my IX. Current mods are in sig below... I am now debating between GSC S1 cams, Snow Performance alky kit, or FP EvoGreen.
I am looking to make my daily driver as fun as possible. "Fun" to me is a nice low-end torque spike coupled with great low and midrange power - I don't really plan on taking the car to the strip other to see what trap speeds it is capable of... (would like it to trap low 120's though). I want a car that comes on boost very hard and early (don't we all...
), so basically I want a stock/near stock-turboed monster.
1) GSC S1 cams - not enough results yet to make good decision; decent midrange gains.
2) Meth/Alky kit - great bang for buck; really want the torque spike meth would give me; still scared to mess around with
; requires constant monitoring and refilling.
3) EvoGreen - this is a no-brainer for VIII's, but I feel like I'd be giving up some of my low-end torque for mostly top end whp...
I may be able to do 2 of these mods at the same time in the near future, so please let me know the order in which you recommend I get these done. Thanks

yeah, I would be looking at getting a custom tune for any of the above 3 mods, which is why I am hoping to do at least 2 of these at once to save $ by just getting the one tune. (yes, I will be getting dynoed before and after)
go with meth... get the kit from ultimate cc, he has a failsafe to offer ya. and even if you dont have the chance to fill youll just be stuck at wastegate.
the evogreen isn't worth it for the ix, you'll make 30ish whp for 1000. big whoop!
not enough results for the ix cams, im going to wait another 6 months before i think about them
cheers!

good advice... meth injection will most likely be the route I will take for now.
I know the EvoGreen is only about 30whp over the 9 turbo (on pump 93), but i thought a recent thread stated that the new FP exchange price given a IX turbo core was like $850. I'm keeping in mind that continued modding over a stage I upgrade will eventually start costing more $ per whp gained. So, 30whp for $850-1000 turbo upgrade would still be as good as IX cams, which have been showing about 20whp increase for about $600.
Of course, if I'm going to go with pump/meth, the gains seen in going from a IX turbo to an EvoGreen should increase substantially...
On the side, any FPgreen/20gLT owners note any loss in initial torque spike over a IX turbo?

I am in a very similar situation....I would like to go with Meth. but there am concerned about some of the issues I have read about (abnormal engine wear)....I would look at either the Aquamist or the Snow kit (Snow is cheaper, but Aquamist seems to be the recognized leader)....
The other thing that is often not addressed on the site is how to properly vent the Meth tanks....They should be vented to the atmosphere, not trunk / cabin
...
I also like the cam option as there seems to be a decent gain across the entire power band...
You may want to consider a FMIC as well to keep the intake charge cooler

yeah, I think that with just meth and cams, I'd be close to 400whp on pump 93 (Dynojet)... I'm waiting for some more results from the IX cams. If I had an VIII, I'd probably be looking at 264's for my daily driver goals.
I'm still considering all three (meth, cams, green), but I have a feeling that I will feel more torque with the IX turbo on pump/meth than with the EvoGreen. Feel free to correct me here...
I do a lot of highway driving, and want to be able to stomp on the gas at like 3500rpm in fifth gear and feel like I got hit from behind by a Mack truck...
I know that adding meth will likely bring me closest to my goal, but still scared to open that can of worms.
