Leaking from BOTH axles after clutch install ??
Leaking from BOTH axles after clutch install ??
Well, I got everything bolted back up, and when filling the transmission, it started to leak at the bottom of the seal on the axle going into the tranmission. Everythings bolted up, and torqued down, and looks good, but its now leaking from BOTH sides.
Only thing I can think of is that the axles are not seated or pushed far enough in. There's about 1/2 of the output shaft showing on both sides.
Anyone got any tips? TIA

This is what I was thinking. I can get one of the two seals here in town. I really dont think that they are torn. Were going to check tonite. Thanks
sounds like you didn't push them in far enough.
there is a c-clip that needs to get shoved far enough in until it locks the axle in place. you need to basically ram the axle in until you hear it click. you'll know its in when the metal seal cover is just about flush with the tranny. there will be a small amount of play, but you will not be able to pull the axle out by hand.
