Are those push lock fittings for the oil cooler?

What RA finish did JAM complete on the cylinder head?

Looks good.
Last time i talked to Carmella she said they keep all the balanced shafts in the 2.3 because of the stroke and take them out in the 2.0

I will let JAM speak for themselves on the balance shaft issues... They recommend keeping them, and they are in my opinion one of the best and most credible engine builders I have dealt with.

I am only revving this motor to 7300 rpm, so the cams are such are being designed to add in the torque/power band.

I believe my workshop is representative of every aspect of what we do. I had someone tell me the other day they'd rather have surgery on my floor than in a hospital.

--------------------------

This should be a fun project. Ill take some more pics today.... if I have a chance... i have to have the car flatbedded to the shop, its in our other garage. Sitting on the 18x9.5 forgelines hee he.

Cheers

they are pushlock fittings, very high pressure rated hose. We have never had an issue with the pushlock and its nice to setup.

I have a rather large MOCAL core, that is being turned, so exit out the side of the bumper, instead of the rather high pressure area in front of the tire in the wheel well. It's an evo 8 getting an evo ix front bumper.

While im at it, i need to thank the following:

Jackson Auto Machine (block/head/fluiddamper)
Bridgestone Tires (265/35-18 RE01R)
Forgeline Wheels ZX3-R
Megan Racing (coilovers)
APR Performance (Front evo ix lip and rear undertray)
Kartboy (hangers/shiftknob)
Stoptech Brakes (new 6 piston calipers with floating rotors)
hopefully im not forgetting anyone...

That block is a thing of beauty. I spent about an hour and a half at JAM's shop talking to them about what I want to do with my car. They are second to none without a doubt.

2.3 - 2.4 Builds. Why Run or Not Run Shafts

We custom machine ALL of our Balance Shafts for our customers.

We run the balance shafts in ALL of our 2.3 and 2.4 builds due to increased Internal Harmonics created by the 2.4 stroke crankshaft. These Internal Harmonics can cause serious issues for the life of the engine. When running the balance shafts in place it will allow the engine to not only run smoother (internally speaking) but release more HP and last far longer then without them. Balancing the rotating assembly is only part of the entire issue revolving "Harmonics". We have had EVO owners call us with their horror stories of their failed stroker builds, where sides of the engine blocks were breaking and blowing out, flywheels and crankshaft pulleys would be falling off after very little running time. All of this is caused by the violent- Internal Harmonics of the flat4 engine. We custom machine all of balance shafts for each and every custom 2.3 and 2.4 we build. Not a single failure to date, only strong running, long lasting engines.
Thank you CB!

There you have it,

if you want straightforward answers, you get them from JAM. They are very local to us, and it's great to have someone i trust.

I agree with them totally, with piston speeds, harmonics etc.... its the little details that create long term performance motors... we arent a drag racing company, so these strokers need to last me and my clients through road course events, and daily driving.

cheers, JAM ++++++++++++++++

I hate you. You get to race prototypes and you have a shop as clean as that. Are you married to a supermodel too or do you just date them?
