Stock clutch chatter?

Is anyone else here experiencing chatter with the stock clutch?

What causes it, and can it be eliminated?

I would also like to know. You can hear mine the most when parked while in neutral and you press the clutch pedal in and release.

Mine started after the dealer replaced the synchros and a bunch of other stuff. They now say that it is normal for it to chatter like that.

Mine feels funny when its cold and in reverse. Its like a rapid grip to slip alternating sequence. It doesn't make noise in any gear or neutral. I don't race/launch or place any type of excessive strain on my car and it has low mileage. I have just come to accept the quirks of the car.

Does it only happen when your stoped with the clutch pedal released? Cuz if thats when it makes noise then its just the throw out bearing. Other then that i dont see how a single plate disk type clutch could chatter

Its normal. I have the same chatter. Especially in the morning when my car is still cold and I just started her up. I just rev the engine, slip the clutch a little and the chatter is gone. There is another ticking noise when the car is in neutral and at idle. That is your throwout bearing in the tranny. Thats normal too. Dsm's had that noise for some time now. Just got to live with these noises

had those replaced as well...still doing it. It shifts fine and crisp so i'm not worried about it. I wil take it to a diff dealer and see if they say otherwise.
I have a letter from Mitsu stating it's operating as intended so i should be ok if something happens later on.

I was also experiencing weird noises when releasing the clutch pedal on really cold mornings (20 or below), now that it is around 30 it doesn't do it anymore. I think it is normal, since now the chattering is gone, and the clutch never stopped working like it should.

The chattering on mine only comes on when I let off the gas at higher rpms. It does not happen when I clutch in or not.

my stock clutch chattered upon starting to move because the flywheel must've been warped(had some blue hot spots on it when i took it out), my aftermarket clutch has the same noise most peoples does, when you let off at higher rpms as they're falling. i thought something was wrong, but even shep says it's normal. he said he mostly experiences it with cars that have aftermarket exhausts, he said something about the sound resonating through it or something, i don't know, just came to accept it.
