Funny. I guess it all depends what car you're swiching from. I had modded Acura RSX Type S before EVO and now I actually think that I have more power down low then before.

another hmmm...

Hey, if you want F/I without lag... get a supercharger...

but life in S/C, i think sucks... get used to the power... no more suprise or rush of boost, u'll get used to it like anything else... after a month u'r going to think the car came like that

The Evo has almost nooooooo lag, making it a stunner on the rally/circuit scenes... very drivable car but potent power on tap, just over 3k... sweeeet

once again just my 2c

There is a stroker kit for the evo.. check with jun.. But it is gonna cost you.. Try exhaust and some tuning 1st.

There are two tricks that I wont post until my friend emails me the pics we too k when we did it. Stock evo viii with a few hours of labor + 40-50 hp and quicker spool

sounds like somebody needs a programmable ecu with anti-lag. question is can you live with the noise and the flames?

Anti-lag??? Can you also live with replacing the turbo every day?

One of the tricks is removing the turbo gasket and cutting about one centimeter off around the inner diameter of one of the two openings to the manifold. it was made smaller in diameter than the outlet to cut back 40 hp or so for US emitions. I'll have a thread as soon as BLUEBYUEVO emails me the pics. We've done two so far and it is quite an increase and lets the turbo spool up faster !

I have the Buschur 3" turbo back with test pipe and I like it. Not too loud at cruz but great sound at WOT. I could definitely tell the diifference from stock. Maybe the BC and S-AFC have something to do with it.

you won't have to replace your turbo everyday, maybe once every year!!!
seriously though, anti-lag can be turned on and off with a switch. so you can drive with it off most of the time and turn it on when you need it.
don't have it on mine, but know a couple of guys who do, and it is something

I find it very hard to believe that Mitsubishi would install a "restrictor gasket" for US emissions. The JDM version of our car has only 5hp more that we do (276HP). You said you have actually done this MOD? Pictures please! If this is true...
