see i thought since stock turbo is involved that race gas and meth would be pointless because the turbo just cant keep up. so pump and meth would be fine. hum.

i have a 100oct map. it is without cams or meth though. i boosted 27psi and the car was moving. but sinced then i put 93 back in and am now running the current 23psi. now with meth and cams im hoping for 28psi spikes or better if the car seems to not disagree when tuning.

i know the stock ecu and maf are my weak points but people have done it and i want to add my self to that list. i just dont no how the hell they got there. lol. whats the secrets and small things. grrrrrrrrrrrr

Have you read through the magnum opus, Buschur Dyno Thread, which step by step, takes you through the incremental buildup of a stock Evo until he reaches 400+ WHP? Yeah, it would be nice if some of those who've been there could lend you a hand. BTW, I think that the Revolvers were a step in the right direction.

i know you said stock turbo but for $1000 the fp20glt is a great option and looks like a stock 9 turbo. you'd make it at your 400hp mark or damn close.

i was thinking to pull the antifreeze/water lines going to the throttle body off. in my theary the heat from the water heats the t/b which then heats the air going into the motor. if i pull them lines the t/b wont have hot water going through it. which would not heat the intake air up as much. or am i loosing my mind now. lol. it was a good thought to me

what free bee mods or simular mods like this can be done to the evo thatr are efective??

Evil, I think it costs somewhere between $800-$1000, to have FP convert your existing VIII turbo into a 20G-LT. Look into it! The turbo alone will net you between 30-40 WHP.

but i got an 8 turbo. its a 9 turbo they do that to. the 9 turbo has a bigger compressure side i beleave then the 03 to 05 evo 8s.

i would not mind a 9 turbo though. then down the line do the 20glt upgrade.

ok

posibly looking for a nice deal on a evo 9 turbo here. come on hook a fellow member up and make his goal happen.

Yeah just pull the 2 hoses off from their fittings on the TB. Then remove one of the 2 hoses completely by yanking it off of its fitting on the cylinder head and then loop the remaining hose back into the head on the fitting left unoccupied when you pulled the other hose completely off. I guess I made it sound kinda confusing.

Late model GM EFI guys have been doing this mod for years and it has been proven to show some gains on a dyo.

ok well if you look at the t/b there is to hoses going to it. and 2 conections 1 that feeds and one returns. so there are 4 total. i was just gonna loop the to on the t/b togeather. that way nothing in nothing out. and same for the other 2. or did i lose you. because you lost me.

The price range I quoted is for an VIII turbo. And it's available by calling either Buschur Racing or Forced Performance. It's a truly incredible bargain if you have an VIII turbo, isn't it? They essentially change out your entire VIII turbo and reconfigure it to FPGreen/20G-LT specs. Now, this does in fact, include a new IX compressor housing machined to accept the larger 5-bladed 20G, "White Rabbit", compressor wheel(also included), machining of your 10.5 HS to accept the larger turbine wheel(also included). Such a deal! Go for it! You give them your VIII and they give you back a IX-based 20G-LT. I think that the only parts remaining , once they are done, from your old VIII turbo are the center housing and the WG. It is for all intents and purposes no longer correct to think of it as an VIII turbo. But, instead as a IX based 20G-LT.
