anyone used nitrous N-tercooler spray?

im really interested in nitrous express's N-tercooler kit. suposedly its does alot. i wouldnt use nitrous though, i think the CO2 cools quicker and sprays chilled.
"For supercharged or turbo applications where nitrous is not an option, NX offers another alternative, the “N-tercooler”. Using either nitrous or CO2 this unit can reduce air inlet temperatures dramatically. In a recent dyno test, a turbocharged Honda, equipped with an NX “N-tercooler ”, increased its baseline by an astounding 52 horsepower! If it makes horsepower, it must be Nitrous Express!"

i dunno, id be happy with a 20 hp gain. but i think im ganna get this with my blitz front mount. and its only 492 retail.. about 350 my price

FYI:
A 50 Shot of Nitrous will cook your engine. Unless you get the forged pistons for your Lancer you will regret it.

Use the search option and read for yourself.

This may be a stupid question but...
What if the nitrous hits the exhaust or turbo?
Won't it start a fire?
Maybe I don't understand the Ntercooler kit.

Nitrous itself doesn't burn. It releases oxygen which can be used to burn more fuel. However in the Ntercooler case we are simply taking advantage of the fact that expanding a pressurized gas results in freeeeeezing temperatures thus cooling the intercooler.

nitrous oxide is not flamable. it is simply a oxidizer. you can spray nitrous over a flame and it will simply blow it out. but im not ganna fill the bottle with nitrous anyways, its too expensive. il use CO2 because its not expensive and its gasious form is much colder than that of nitrous. checmistry is grrr8

chemistry is great, but you can't simply look at the temperature of the gas to determine which one is better. you would also have to take into account heat capacity and look at heat transfer coefficents as well.

actually i was checking it out, but avoiding the question. I would like to be educated on theses Co2 intercooler sprays. Because logically it seems finne because all it is doing is cooling the air down very fast. but i could also not be taking accounnt for other things...

It's a waste of money. This is why we have the intercooler water spray from the factory. I can't see justifying the cost for a few extra degree's of temperature less. The water already cools the temp a good portion. With the cost of the kit and the constant refills of NOS I would have to say it's a big waste.

well actually it is sure more than a few degress. when the C02...or whatever comes out of the sprayer is ALOT colder than water that is sitting in the engine bay.

read up:

http://scifun.chem.wisc.edu/chemweek/CO2/CO2.html

scroll down.....liq. CO2 out of the sprayer will be around -56C

unless i read it wrong...but then again i am at work right now and i just scrolled through real quick

not so..

a few degrees of temp can very much so make a difference.

Anyways, I spoke with NX yesterday and ordered myself the entire setup... N-tercooler fogger, fogger system and purge kit.

I won't be installing any of it until i get my new turbo, manifold, intake manifold (Magnus) and haltech but the Ntercooler fogger kit is excellent. Even if i don't spray... the cooler intercooler, i bet will show good difference.

dont flame me, just my 2c.
