Turbo noisier after LICP swap?

Last week I swapped out the stocker for a Nisei LICP, the aluminum one. Now my turbo makes a ton of sucking noise between about 5lbs up to 0lbs of vacuum? Anybody else ever notice this after swapping in an aftermarket LICP?

my educated guess would be becuase its a larger diameter pipe and the turbos probably starting to spool a little faster now

That's it! My tuner tested for leaks everywhere because that's exactly what it sounds like. Glad to hear it's normal. Thanks!

Steiner, do you notice any increase in spool response since upgrading the LICP?

If you think thats loud, switch over to a hard intake pipe with cone filter, and a UICP and let the swirling begin.

its funny because a lot of new owners think you need to get a bov and vta to have your car sounding "srt-4 cool", your totally right a cone filter and boom you got all the noise you'll ever need

The short answer is yes & maybe - at the same time. Reason I can't simply say yes or no is because the car was tuned with 100 octane right after the LICP install. So basically I'm comparing a 91 octane tune without the new LICP to a 100 octane tune with the new LICP. I picked up 50whp and about 300RPM's of spool but who knows how much of that is the gas and how much is the new LICP. Hope that helps.

IIRC @ 91 octane we were seeing 21.7psi and on 100 octane we were at 25.5lbs.
