ACD Revisited

Has Anyone ever had there Transfer case replaced under warrentee to have it go bad 6k miles later. I can't believe my luck after installing some new gauges heading to my friends house to show them off Bamn I start hearing that old whine come back. Damn my luck guess I have to go back to the dealer soon. Wish me Luck again...

I know in first gear the ACD/Transfer case whine some when your decelerating in gear but our Transfer cases are pretty hard to break.

they all wine even brand new because of the awd setup, but if the howl is louder than the engine than it's done

i don't know it started just today. Sounds just like last time when I had it replaced. I know about first gear but even in fith gear accel and decel in neutral maybe I'll have them check the oil level but if noise can be heard damage has been done.

I highly doubt it's a matter of luck (or bad luck), because I can't even remember another thread where someone's ACD failed randomly, and it certainly hasn't happened to the same person twice. Are you actually sure the ACD is damaged, or are you damaging the t-case and thinking it's the ACD? The odds of your ACD randomly going out twice like that are very slim unless you're doing something weird to cause it.

What does the whine you're hearing have to do with ACD?

I'm sorry I meant to say transfer case was replaced and now hearing whine again. Thanks for the correction.
